Ivanov was devastated by the news and he recalls the last conversation he had with Petrov before he left. «He told me that he was heartbroken to leave his home and his fans, but he had to do it to protect his family. We promised to stay in touch and support each other no matter what,» Ivanov shares.
Despite the distance, the two continued to communicate through phone calls and emails. They would often share updates on their lives and Ivanov would send Petrov recordings of his new songs. «Ivan was always so supportive and encouraging. He believed in me and my music, and that meant the world to me,» Ivanov says with a smile.
Tragically, Petrov passed away in 2017 due to complications from a chronic illness. Ivanov was devastated by the news and he still remembers the last email he received from Petrov, just a few days before his passing. «He wrote to me saying how proud he was of me and my achievements. It was a bittersweet moment for me, knowing that he wouldn’t be there to see me continue to grow as an artist,» Ivanov shares with a heavy heart.
Despite the loss, Ivanov continues to honor Petrov’s memory through his music. He often performs his songs at concerts and dedicates them to his dear friend. «Ivan was not only a talented singer but also a kind and compassionate human being. He will always hold a special place in my heart and I will never forget the impact he had on my life,» Ivanov says.
